Gratitude

Life is a grand adventure. Funny how our journey takes us places and returns us to places, without us even knowing.
Two years after my move downtown and away from my home in Riverview, I somehow ended back home. I didn't expect that this would happen but sometimes things happen and we don't even realize it at the time, but they happen for the best.
Studio Ganesha is relocated back home. 14 Page Street in Riverview, is once again the home of our happy, sunny home studio.
When I started teaching yoga, my dream was to have a small yoga community of people who I could share this journey through yoga with. A community of like-minded people open to new adventures, open to spontaneous yoga in the park or open to tea and conversation. A community who would welcome loving kindness projects, one where people would get to know each other and share their experiences, both the good and the bad. I was hoping to find people who would want to expand their practice along side me, as we learn together.
I am so pleased to say that I love my beautiful yoga community. Every class I teach is shared with people who have become a very special part of my life and my yoga journey.
Two mornings a week I share yoga with small groups of women who stay and share tea and learn to knit together between classes. It has become a beautiful little community.
A few evenings a week I get to share yoga in a candlelight environment with small groups of women and men who are eager to practice together.
I am fortunate enough to be sharing yoga with several groups of children at child care centres, my smallest little yogis being under two years old, who when I arrive on site, shout out "YOGA!", as I walk through that door I know that these little children are learning to live their joy through sharing yoga together, learning to listen and how to still their bodies and their minds and learning that yoga is so much more than just postures; it is about breathing and laughing, it is about listening and about speaking our truth, it is about community.
Today, I am so grateful for every single beautiful person that I have the distinct pleasure of sharing yoga with from 15 months old to 70 years old plus, boys and girls, women and men from all walks of life sharing this beautiful journey together.
In gratitude, love & peace,
Namaste
